Rescued Treasures 131 Harkins Ct. Kalamazoo, MI 49007 Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 9am-3pm Rescued Treasures thrift store serves as a hub of the Mission’s donated goods ministry. It is a busy place and one of Kalamazoo’s most well-known drop off site. Items donated to Rescued Treasures thrift store are sold to the public or clothes are given to residents, as needed, to clothe them. Members of our recovery programs partricipate in work-in-training programs including our thrift store to learn basic skills needed in the work enviornment. The money earned from the sale of these donated goods is used by the mission to create a revenue stream to help finance the mission’s daily operations. While items are waiting to be sold, they were previously stored in a warehouse near the store. On Sunday, August 19, 2007, an electrical fire destroyed the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission’s warehouse, which was used by the mission to store donated appliances, clothing, furniture, mattresses and other household goods. The three-story building was full at the time of the fire. The Kalamazoo Gospel Mission is seeking donations to replace clothing, furniture and other donated goods that were destroyed. If you have such items, the need is great. Items can be brought to the mission (follow the sign in the parking lot for the new donation site). Mission drop off hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday, 9am to 3pm. Large items can be picked up from you, just give us a call at 269.383.1044.
