Changing Lives Through the Power of Christ

Some of the ways that you can donate to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission through planned giving include the below catagories. To learn additional information about each of these options click on the catagory's title.

Giving through Charitable Remainder Trusts

There are two types of charitable remainder trusts: unitrusts and annuity trusts. By setting up a charitable remainder trust, you can turn highly appreciated assets into a diversified source of income without selling them and paying the capital gains tax, receive an immediate income tax deduction, and collect payments from the trust for life or for a specified term.

Gifts of Securities

The gift of an appreciated security (publicly traded stock or mutual fund shares) is an ideal way to make an outright gift if the current value of the investment is more now than when you acquired it. Donating an appreciated asset to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission allows you to support those in need in our community while receiving tax benefits for the gift you made.0

Gifts of Life Insurance

Life Insurance policies are another asset often assigned to charitable causes. You can donate your policy to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission by assigning KGM as the beneficiary or co-beneficiary of your policy. Assigning a life insurance policy to KGM in this way benefits the many ministries of the mission and may provide you with an immediate income tax benefit.
